A brand-new designer from the Showa fashion scene, who will be presenting a new collection at the festival, will have to show a lot of interest in Japan’s fashion and be a huge presence to bring new customers to the brand.
In a new interview with Nikkei, Showa founder Hiroshi Yoshida revealed that the company has secured its second designer from Japan’s prestigious fashion scene to attend the festival.
Showa has been running its first fashion show in Showa-san, the fashion district in Akihabara, since 2013.
Yoshida and his team are aiming to have two new designers on display for the next two weeks, as well as new merchandise, as part of Showa’s new style of presenting and showcasing the company’s products.
The two new designs will be announced on February 23 at Shonen Jump.
They will be unveiled at the same time that Showa will host its first annual fashion show, featuring a lineup of some of the most prominent designers in the world.
The first season of ShonenJump, which runs until March 16, will feature a full schedule of all of Shoken’s shows.
In addition to Shonenjump, the company is planning to host a fashion show at the Tokyo Fashion Museum in January 2018.
ShonenJapan has not yet announced a date for the ShonenStyle show.
